On Wednesday, November 6th, 2024, The Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University presented an evening of music performed by guest artist pianist Christina Petrowska Quilico from her new album Games of the Night Wind. The performance included works by David Jaeger, Tōru Takemitsu, Alexandre Tansman, and Henryk Górecki.

The Red Deer (Poetry by David Cameron) describes an epiphany provoked by an encounter in nature.
The House and You (Poetry by David Cameron) offers redemption from the dark, only to be broken by a deception.
Lament for the People of Ukraine is a response to the invasion of Ukraine, based on a melody composed much earlier, inspired by words of Bruce Whiteman.

Earlier in the day, composer David Jaeger joined Christina for a pre-concert talk entitled “Poetry and the Composer: a Glimpse Inside the Nocturnes of David Jaeger”.
