The Iris Trio (Christine Carter, clarinet; Zoë Martin-Doike, viola; Anna Petrova, piano) performed David Jaeger’s Night Music in the D. F. Cook Recital Hall at the School of Music of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador (MUN) on January 16th, 2025. Composed for the Iris Trio in 2020, Night Music is a colouristic and virtuoso trio that exploits the dark colours that come from combining the A clarinet and viola, against a dynamic foundation in the piano. The exceptionally brilliant performance was skillfully recorded by the MUN Audio/Visual staff.

The Toronto launch of Nuages, the new recording by Duo Cavatine on the KNS Classical label (KNS A/121) was hosted by the Atelier Rosemarie Umetsu. Here’s a video of the discussions that accompanied the occasion.
