I’m very pleased to have my new work, Lyrics II – in memoriam Norma Beecroft included in Bev’s wonderful project. It’s a work for vibraphone and electronic sound tracks, paying hommage to the great pioneer of Canadian electronic music, and my dear friend and colleague Norma Beecfroft. We lost Norma last October. She was an inspiration who leaves an incredible legacy of compositions, documentaries, books and more. Bev was the perfect collaborator for the project, as she celebrates iconic women.
On June 18th, she will live stream the official World Premiere from the Chalmers Performance Space of the Canadian Music Centre (CMC), 20 St. Joseph Street, Toronto.

Bev plans to record the work at the end of July. She gave a workshop performance of it at the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) in Waterloo on May 3rd.
